How to interpret your results

Learn how to interpret the results of Snorefox and Snorefox Medical and how to derive your next steps from them.

How severe is my snoring?

Your snoring rate shows what percentage of the total measurement time you snored.

- A snoring rate up to 10% is considered low.
- A snoring rate over 50% is considered very high.
The snoring diagram shows you at what time of the night you snored, how much you snored and how loudly.
You can also compare these values over several nights, to identify patterns – for example, whether your snoring is particularly strong on certain nights.

Is my snoring dangerous?

In the breathing pattern diagram you can see your irregular breathing events per hour. The REI (respiratory event index) indicates how many irregularities were detected in your breathing.
The higher a bar in the diagram, the more respiratory events occurred at the respective time.

Risk alanysis

Your sleep apnea risk is calculated on the basis of your questionnaire and your nightly breathing patterns.
The risk traffic light is a combination of the two results (breathing patterns and questionnaire) and displays your assessment at a glance:
Green: Less than 15 respiratory events per hour and no signs of daytime sleepiness.
Yellow: 15 - 30 respiratory events per hour or signs of daytime sleepiness.
Red: More than 30 respiratory events per hour or strong signs of daytime sleepiness.

You will receive your personal recommendation to see a doctor below the risk traffic light. Based on this, you can take further steps towards diagnosis and treatment. To do this, you can use the doctor finder within the app.

Calendar view

With the calendar function of Snorefox Medical you can keep an eye on your sleep apnea risk over a longer period of time.
This provides you and your doctor with valuable information, that can be considered in a possible treatment decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why couldn't the app measure enough snoring noises?

The message “Not enough breath sounds measured” indicates that the app was unable to collect sufficient data during the measurement. To resolve the problem, we recommend the following:

  1. Check the position of the cell phone: Place the cell phone on the bedside table at head height, with the microphone freely accessible.
  2. Reduce ambient noise: Avoid loud background noises or electrical devices in the vicinity.
  3. Reinstalling the app: Reinstall the app to eliminate possible technical problems. Please note your login credentials.

If the problem persists, please contact us by e-mail at community@diametos.com or using the form below.

How can I view my analyses from the previous month?

To view previous measurements that are not from the current month, simply tap on the small black triangle next to the month name (marked red in the figure). This will give you a list of all previous measurements. Alternatively, you can also switch between months by swiping/swiping left or right in the calendar view.

In which unit is the volume displayed?

Each smartphone model has different hardware for the microphone. Therefore, the volume of your snoring is given in relative units and cannot be compared with the volume of other users. However, you can find out if and when your snoring is stronger by comparing your own values from different nights.

Can I export the results of the analysis or share them with my doctor?

It is currently not possible to export the analysis results directly. However, you can easily take screenshots or show your doctor the results directly in the app.
